Director, Managed Services
As the Director of Managed Services, Razmig (Raz) leads a talented team of individuals and the Managed IT Services operation for Commerx’s portfolio of customers, including Infrastructure Engineering, Service Management and the Service Desk. Raz deals with a variety of technologies and solves and prevents a wide range of infrastructure related problems that impact business operations.
Raz and his team augment our customers’ business by being a native extension of their own IT team and ensures 100% up-time of their mission critical infrastructure. Raz is skilled at proactively putting processes and measures in place for our customers IT environments to anticipate any potential business impacts before they happen.
Raz sets a personal mission for himself and for his team to be reliable, patient and to consistently go above and beyond in what they do everyday!
Prior to his role at Commerx, Raz worked for Thomas Cook North America for a decade leading their IT operations comprised of 3 Call Centers and 120 Retail Stores across North America and the Caribbean. Raz led the on-boarding of Sears Travel, into the Thomas Cook Network with thousands of end users across North America.
Raz is a graduate of York University in Toronto. He started his professional career in technical roles and progressed into business operational roles. While he believes that technology makes processes and tasks more efficient, he is very mindful making sure technology is not disconnecting people or replacing the human connection in business. He prefers face-to-face meetings versus a Skype call, whenever possible.
Outside of work, Raz enjoys spending time in Northern Ontario fishing, hiking and camping. Being off grid! He also likes to travel, especially to tropical destinations with salt water beaches!
